About the exhibition

Since its inception in 1989, the SAVIM exhibition, short for Salon des Vins et de la Gastronomie Méditerranéenne, has established itself as one of the most significant fairs for gourmet products and gastronomy in southern France. Twice a year, this event transforms the Parc Chanot exhibition center in Marseille into a culinary hub for food lovers, professionals, and producers. SAVIM is not just a traditional consumer exhibition; it is an immersive journey through the culinary landscapes of France. It features only carefully selected winemakers from prestigious regions such as Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, and Provence. Their offerings are complemented by premium spirits, craft beers, and exquisite non-alcoholic beverages. The focus is always on terroir and artisanal production, which give each product its unique character. The selection of gourmet products impresses with both variety and quality. From aged cheeses, charcuterie platters, and aromatic truffles to cold-pressed oils, exquisite spices, and handmade chocolates – the exhibition offers a sensory experience that delights at every level. Organic and biodynamic products play a central role: with over 100 certified participants, SAVIM is recognized as the largest organic fair in southern France, demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainability. Many producers also hold HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) certification. Special tasting zones, each dedicated to a specific theme – such as oysters, Corsican meats, or regional cheeses – invite visitors to explore the richness of French culinary culture. This experience is enhanced by daily wine seminars conducted by Master Sommeliers, who share expert knowledge, practical tips, and personal stories in an intimate setting. SAVIM attracts a diverse audience. Industry professionals – including gourmet retailers, restaurateurs, hoteliers, sommeliers, and wine critics – value the exhibition as a key networking event. At the same time, private visitors gain a unique opportunity to experience authentic French gastronomy in all its diversity. The event also highlights Marseille's role as a cultural center in southern France, with direct access to some of the country's finest regional products. A vibrant feature of the exhibition is its lively and cozy atmosphere. Spacious seating areas and dedicated dining zones recreate the ambiance of a traditional market, encouraging guests to linger, explore, and enjoy. With its central location and excellent transport links, the exhibition is easily accessible by both car and public transport – an ideal setting for immersing oneself in the world of gourmet products and drawing inspiration from the French art of living. Join us at SAVIM and discover a world of gastronomic delights!
