About the exhibition
The "next" exhibition has become an important part of the academic calendar at Saarland University since its inception. This specialized event takes place annually and is aimed at students and graduates from various disciplines, including computer science, business, systems engineering, chemistry, physics, pharmacy, materials science, law, and humanities. Organized by the Career Center of Saarland University, the exhibition reflects the center's commitment to connecting academic knowledge with professional life.
The exhibition is held on the campus in Saarbrücken, providing a convenient and accessible location for participants, while also creating an atmosphere conducive to meaningful personal conversations. There is parking available on campus for the convenience of guests.
What sets "next" apart from other exhibitions is its unique atmosphere. Instead of the impersonal hustle typical of job fairs, the focus here is on genuine dialogue. Interaction occurs on equal footing — whether at traditional exhibition booths, over a cup of coffee in the lounge, enjoying ice cream outdoors, or snacking at one of the food trucks. These informal meeting spots help turn career planning into an inspiring day filled with new perspectives.
The exhibition brings together a diverse range of companies — international corporations, national leaders, and regional small and medium-sized enterprises. All of them offer relevant opportunities, including internships, student positions, and graduate roles. At the heart of the exhibition are individual conversations about career paths, supported by professional consulting on-site.
A standout feature is the application support service: participants can receive feedback on their materials and a free professional photo for their resumes — this is immediate and practical assistance for upcoming job applications. In the lead-up to the exhibition, practical workshops and training sessions are held to help participants prepare, offering tips on applications and communication recommendations during the event.
"Next" is not just a job fair, but a real value through personal meetings, informed guidance, and concrete professional orientation. Participants leave the exhibition not only with new contacts but also with real opportunities for their future.
Join us at the "next" exhibition and open new horizons for your career!
