About the exhibition

The "JuBi" exhibition, the largest specialized fair in Germany dedicated to educational programs abroad, takes place annually at the Leibniz Gymnasium in Dortmund. The name "JuBi" stands for "JugendBildungsmesse" and reflects the main goal of the event: to become a central platform for young people seeking comprehensive information about international educational and exchange programs. The exhibition is organized by the independent non-profit organization Weltweiser, which has been working in the field of educational consulting for many years. Weltweiser conducts similar events throughout Germany, and Dortmund is one of the most well-known venues. At the heart of JuBi Dortmund is personal interaction: young participants can communicate with education experts, consultants, and representatives of organizations offering programs such as student exchanges, language trips, work and travel, internships abroad, and international study programs. The focus is not only on the idea of going abroad but also on specific pathways to achieve it—whether it’s a study year, internship, university studies, or a gap year after high school. One of the highlights of the exhibition is the opportunity for individual consultations with experts and former participants who offer practical advice and support in the decision-making process. Financial issues, such as scholarships and assistance for international students, are also addressed. JuBi primarily targets high school students, recent graduates, university students, and young people. However, parents, teachers, and others interested in education are also welcome to attend the event. Exhibitors represent a wide range of organizations, including educational institutions, language trip providers, non-profit organizations, and international employment agencies. Thus, JuBi becomes a vibrant forum for everyone interested in global education opportunities. Families wishing to host international students can also find useful information and inspiration. JuBi is part of a nationwide concept of fairs that are held annually in various locations. The Dortmund venue plays a special role due to its central location in the Ruhr area and long-standing cooperation with the respected Leibniz Gymnasium. The school is located in the Hacheney district near Romberg Park, and it is easily accessible by public transport and by car. There is parking nearby, and the fair is in close proximity to Dortmund's main train station. Thus, JuBi Dortmund combines valuable information with accessibility, opening clear pathways to an international future for young people.
