About the exhibition

The Indplas exhibition, known as the "International Plastics Exhibition," is a significant event in the field of plastics in Eastern India and serves as a central platform for innovation, technology, and business development in this industry. Organized by the Indian Plastics Federation, the exhibition takes place every three years at the prestigious Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan exhibition center in Kolkata. It attracts professionals, companies, and key players from across the plastics industry. The exhibition showcases all stages of the plastics production chain—from machinery and equipment to raw materials and chemicals, as well as finished products and sustainable recycling solutions. Indplas emphasizes extrusion and injection machines, blow molding equipment, precision tools, and hot runner systems, along with the latest developments in polymer technologies, additives, and dyes. Visitors can explore packaging materials, films, profiles, and innovative semi-finished products, providing a comprehensive overview of the market. One of the highlights of the exhibition is the Thematic Pavilion, which showcases promising developments in the field of plastics. High-quality seminars and scientific presentations from renowned universities and research institutions facilitate knowledge exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration. The Recycling Pavilion presents innovative processes and solutions for sustainable plastic recycling and offers interactive presentations that raise awareness of eco-friendly alternatives. Indplas is not only a platform for innovation but also a central meeting point for industry professionals from sectors such as automotive, packaging, construction, medical technology, and consumer goods. Manufacturers, suppliers, engineers, and entrepreneurs use the exhibition to stay updated on the latest trends, establish strategic partnerships, and expand their networks. As one of the few major events in the plastics sector in India with a regional focus, Indplas reflects the growing significance of the plastics industry in West Bengal and highlights Kolkata's role as an economic hub. The central location of Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan in the city ensures optimal accessibility and good connectivity to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport. Visitors also have the opportunity to explore the cultural diversity and industrial heritage of Kolkata, making the city a significant place for business and trade. Thus, Indplas is an important event in the industry, fostering innovation and sustainable development, strengthening the plastics industry in India and beyond.
