CrossCon 2027

CrossCon is a new Austrian consumer event that brings together a wide range of modern pop culture interests under one roof. Instead of focusing on a single fandom, the concept encompasses gaming, cosplay, anime, manga, comics, fantasy, collectible card games, tabletop games, and creative communities. The main focus of CrossCon is on immersive experiences in the world of pop culture. Visitors can explore the latest video games, indie games, and retro games, play and trade cards from games like Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Disney Lorcana, as well as try their hand at tabletop, card, and role-playing games. The event program includes both family-friendly board games and complex strategy games, open sessions of Dungeons & Dragons and The Dark Eye, as well as Warhammer miniature painting. Special zones for anime, manga, comics, fantasy, LARP, and cosplay expand the program, making CrossCon a meeting place for diverse fandom and hobby communities. The offerings for participants are also varied. Retailers provide manga and comics, figures, collectible cards, gaming merchandise, cosplay accessories, and various collectibles. In Artist Alley, comic artists and illustrators showcase fan art, prints, stickers, illustrations, and handmade items. Gaming studios, clubs, fan groups, cosplayers, and community projects also present their activities and invite visitors to participate. Thus, participants represent a wide range of the gaming and entertainment industry, the comics and manga sector, the merchandise and collectibles market, as well as the creative, artistic, cosplay, and broader fan community. CrossCon is designed as an interactive experience rather than a traditional exhibition. The program includes cosplay contests, performances and dance competitions, community challenges, live shows, creative workshops, hands-on activities, photo zones, tournaments, and community matches. In the collectible card game areas, the emphasis is not only on competitions but also on casual play, card trading, and personal interaction between players and collectors. The event targets gamers, cosplayers, fans of anime, manga, comics, and fantasy, collectible card game collectors, tabletop players, and role-playing enthusiasts, as well as artists, creative individuals, and members of various represented communities. CrossCon takes place in Tulln on the Danube and has strong ties to Lower Austria and the broader Austrian pop culture scene. The organizers aim to unite clubs, fan groups, artists, retailers, and communities, promote interaction and collaboration, and help strengthen Austria's pop culture community in the long term. CrossCon is held at the Messe Tulln exhibition center, which provides suitable conditions for combining exhibition spaces, public areas, stage programs, and interactive events. Thus, CrossCon merges elements of an exhibition, festival, and convention, creating a comprehensive pop culture event focused on discovery, gaming, collecting, and creativity, with a special emphasis on personal interaction between fans, artists, clubs, communities, and participants. We invite you to participate in CrossCon and be part of this unique event!
