About the exhibition
The ChamlandSchau exhibition is a regional consumer fair held every September, which has become an important event for Upper Palatine since its inception. With around 50,000 visitors, it ranks among the leading trade shows in the region and serves as a vital platform for communication among residents of the Cham district, neighboring regions, as well as guests from the Czech Republic and Austria. The event takes place at the central square Volksfestplatz in Cham, which, with its modern exhibition hall and spacious outdoor areas, provides ideal conditions for showcasing products, services, and innovations from various industries. Admission is free, and the exhibition is open to everyone – a family-friendly offering.
Starting in 2024, the event will be organized by the agency provi, located in Traithing, which has taken over from the previously responsible MV service-werbung GmbH. The city of Cham remains the conceptual sponsor of the exhibition, emphasizing its support and strong connection to the event. The agency provi has many years of experience in organizing exhibitions and also manages other well-known formats such as ChamlandVital, ChamlandBau, and ChamlandCareer.
ChamlandSchau is conceived as a public fair with an experimental character, combining modern technology, traditional craftsmanship, and regional identity. It strikes a balance between professional information, emotional appeal, and local roots. The exhibition covers key areas of life, including construction and renovation, home and garden, health and wellness, mobility and travel, as well as finance and retirement planning. Visitors can learn about current trends and receive personal consultations from regional and international experts – whether it’s innovative heating systems, energy-efficient renovation solutions, kitchen studios, home comfort offerings, care consultations, or concepts for sustainable mobility. This diversity is complemented by a carefully curated segment of fashion and accessories, including traditional clothing, jewelry, and headwear.
A special highlight is the "Gourmet Market," featuring culinary delicacies from Upper Palatine and neighboring regions. Local producers, traditional craftsmen, and regional breweries and distilleries invite guests to enjoy authentic culinary experiences.
Many exhibitors – primarily from Eastern Bavaria, but also from the Czech Republic and Austria – present a wide range of high-quality offerings. Personal interaction, regional connection, and professional expertise are at the heart of their presentations. ChamlandSchau positions itself not as a classic trade fair, but as an open platform for all generations – a meeting place for information and inspiration for families, homeowners, craftsmen, health-conscious individuals, and those who appreciate a good life. A diverse program of events throughout the four days significantly enriches the experience, going beyond a typical product exhibition.
Combining practical relevance, immersive experiences, and strong regional ties, ChamlandSchau clearly stands out among other exhibitions – it is a true flagship event for the Cham region and a key driver of trade, crafts, and services in the East Bavarian border area.
