CCON – COMIC CON Stuttgart, formerly known as Comic Con Germany, is an annual multi-genre convention that has become an integral part of Germany's pop culture since its inception in 2016.
The event takes place at the modern Stuttgart exhibition center, conveniently located near the airport and with direct access to highways and S-Bahn, ensuring easy access for participants from both Germany and abroad. The exhibition is organized by Comic Con Germany GmbH, which aims to create a professional bridge between international pop culture trends and the German fan community.
Every year, for one weekend, the Stuttgart exhibition center transforms into a vibrant meeting place for movie and series enthusiasts, comic fans, cosplayers, gamers, collectors, and fan communities. CCON – COMIC CON Stuttgart stands out in the German-speaking world with its high-quality programming, star guests, interactive events, and strong community ties. This event is no longer perceived as niche but has become a well-established cultural date for audiences of all ages.
At the heart of the convention are international actors from film and television in the genres of science fiction, fantasy, horror, and superheroes. They interact with their fans through autograph sessions, photo ops, panels, and live Q&As. The program is also enriched by a dynamic comic scene: in Artist Alley, renowned comic artists, illustrators, and concept designers showcase their work, sign autographs, and share their expertise in workshops.
A key attraction is the cosplay area. Contests, parades, workshops, and the special "Cosmic Kingdom" provide an impressive platform for creative craftsmanship and original costumes. Gamers can also enjoy a variety of offerings: interactive gaming zones, esports tournaments, stage shows, and a cosplay contest for gamers create a lively and intergenerational atmosphere.
The convention is further enriched by themed areas, such as the immersive Galactic Cantina (Star Wars zone), Queer Avenue, an extensive TCG and card games area, as well as a special 18+ section. Exhibitions dedicated to fantasy, horror, and science fiction showcase original movie props, live performances, LEGO MOCs, and medieval displays, offering attendees captivating glimpses into imaginary worlds.
Surrounding the exhibition halls are hundreds of vendor booths offering rare collectibles, limited editions, exclusive merchandise, comics, fan items, and Pride items. Live podcasts, panels with voice actors, artists, and pop culture experts round out the program and create valuable networking opportunities. Numerous hands-on activities and workshops encourage community engagement and participation.
Exhibitors represent diverse fields, including entertainment, comic publishing, film and television, costume design, game development, merchandising, and digital media, as well as traditional crafts and art. Visitors primarily come from various corners of Europe and represent a wide range: cosplayers, collectors, families, media professionals, content creators, and experts from the pop culture industry.
Together with Stuttgart's open atmosphere, excellent exhibition center infrastructure, and high-quality event program, CCON – COMIC CON Stuttgart offers a unique experience for all who not only consume pop culture but live it.
