In combination with Bremen's Christmas fair Christmas & More, the Bottle Market takes place at the weekend before the 1st advent. It seems to the visitor, as if he would stroll through an indoor Christmas market, where he meets distilleries, importers and dealers of uisge beatha. Regardless of whether the visitor prefers peaty whiskies or loves the sweetness of the Sherry Finish, whether cask strength or drinking strength, whether single cask or blend, scotch, bourbon, or rye, whether independent bottling or rarities: the "Bottle Market" at the exhibition centre of Bremen offers all this and even more. However, about 45 exhibitors do not only present whiskeys from all over the world, but also the appropriate British Irish lifestyle, such as decorations, tweed caps or even confectionery. This includes for example the original English fudge, lemon curd, shortbread and whisky chocolates. For true fans of Scotland there are kilts made of tartan, bum bags and even shoes. But also Ireland fans will get their money’s worth, as the exhibition range also includes Celtic jewellery, merchandise articles of the Emerald Isle, rugs from Irish wool and more. For tobacco lovers a cigar lounge is available, where they can enjoy a wee dram together with a good cigar or a cigarillo. By means of payable tastings at the booths the visitors have the opportunity to get to know new brands of whiskies and to get inspired by them. Whoever wants to get deeper into the matter can book one of the numerous tastings, where between 3 and 5 whiskeys will be tasted and lots of information is available from the part of the lecturer. And if someone needs a break between all the tastings, there will be live music on the stage or travel lectures. Due to the location of the exhibition hall directly in the city centre it is easy to reach by public transport. The own car can be left at home and the experience of whisky can be enjoyed to the fullest.
